Terms of Service
The agreement between you and SoloBase, in plain English. You own your Studio and your work; your clients pay you directly; we run the service that holds it together.
Effective October 1, 2026 · Last updated September 29, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
SoloBase is operated by Đỗ Hồng Hải (Harris Do), an individual, until a company is formed to take it over; we will tell you by email before that happens. In these Terms, “SoloBase”, “we” and “us” mean the Service and its operator. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of solobase.org, app.solobase.org, the Studios we host at solobase.me addresses and on custom domains, and any related services we provide (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you agree to these Terms for that business and confirm you have authority to do so. These Terms take effect on October 1, 2026.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date, including an email address where we can reach you.
- Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it was caused by our failure.
- Each Studio has one owner who is accountable for it. You may invite others into your Client Hubs, but you remain responsible for your Studio and for the people you let in.
- The Service is for professional and business use. It is not a consumer social network.
3. Your Studio and your content
You own what you put into the Service: your card, your Studio Site, your pages, notes, files, messages and everything else you or the people in your Client Hubs create (“Your Content”).
You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, display and transmit Your Content only as needed to run, secure and improve the Service for you, and to show it to the people you choose. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a limited time in backups.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to use it. Content you make public, such as your card and your Studio Site, can be seen by anyone with the address. Content in a private Client Hub can be seen by you and the people you let in.
4. You and your clients
You provide your services to your clients directly. SoloBase is not a party to your agreements with them, does not supervise your work, and is not responsible for the services you deliver.
You are responsible for your relationship with your clients, including any terms, privacy notices, disclosures, licenses or consents your work or your location requires. When you bring your clients’ information into the Service, we process it on your behalf and under your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Payments your clients make to you
Your clients pay you through your own Stripe account, under your agreement with Stripe. You connect that account to the Service with a restricted key you create in Stripe and can revoke at any time.
SoloBase is not a party to those payments. We are not the merchant, we do not receive or hold the funds, and we take no percentage of them. Stripe’s own fees apply under your agreement with Stripe.
You are responsible for your prices, refunds, disputes and chargebacks with your clients, for any taxes on what you sell, and for complying with Stripe’s terms. We cannot refund, reverse or move a payment made to your Stripe account.
6. Plans and billing
SoloBase offers a Free plan and paid plans (currently Pro and the Studio plan). The features, limits and prices of each plan are shown on our Pricing page and may change as described below.
Our reseller, Paddle.com, is the merchant of record for plan purchases. When you buy a paid plan, you buy it from Paddle, which processes the payment, charges any applicable sales tax or VAT, issues your receipt, and handles billing questions, refunds and chargebacks under its own buyer terms.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your paid features until then. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
The Free plan is available until you have earned $1,000 through SoloBase. “Earned through SoloBase” means the total your clients have paid you through SoloBase’s checkout into your Stripe account, less refunds, counted in US dollars (payments in other currencies at the rate Stripe records). After that, if you do not upgrade, your Studio stops growing (for example, you may not be able to open new Client Hubs or add people beyond the Free plan’s limits), but it keeps working and stays online.
We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to your plan. A new price takes effect from your next renewal after that notice.
7. Limits and metered use
Each plan includes limits, such as the number of people in your Client Hubs, storage, and call time measured in participant-hours. When you reach a limit, new use stops until the allowance renews or you move to a plan that includes more. We do not charge for use beyond your plan.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- sell or promote anything Stripe, Paddle or applicable law prohibits;
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or collect people’s information without their consent;
- impersonate another person or business, or mislead people about who you are;
- upload malware, or try to access accounts, Client Hubs or data you have not been given access to;
- probe, overload or interfere with the Service, except for good-faith security research reported to us as described on our Security page;
- resell the Service or use it to build a competing product.
9. AI features
Some features use AI to help you draft, structure and summarize your own material. AI works for you, the owner: it does not answer your clients on your behalf. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before you publish or send it; what you publish is Your Content and your responsibility.
10. Other services
The Service connects to services run by others, such as Stripe, Paddle and the accounts you sign in with. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Early access and changes to the Service
Some features are marked Early access or Coming soon. Early access features work but may change, have limits, or be withdrawn. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove a feature you pay for in a way that materially reduces your plan, we will tell you in advance and, where appropriate, offer a prorated refund.
12. Ending your use of the Service
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Before you delete it, you can ask us for a copy of Your Content.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use creates a risk for others or for the Service, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and to export Your Content.
After your account is closed, we delete Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as payment obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability and dispute terms, survive.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service running and your data safe, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, SoloBase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from or related to the Service.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify SoloBase against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties, including your clients, arising from Your Content, your services, your payments, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each of us agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally by writing to the other; most disagreements end there.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
18. General
These Terms, with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and SoloBase about the Service. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
