A Notion page, a Calendly link and a Stripe payment link. Or one Studio. It depends on your stage.
Many experts start with three good tools and glue them together themselves, and for a while it works. SoloBase puts the door, the Client Hub and the counter under one name. Here is how to tell which side of the line you are on.
Which one are you?
Three stages of the same setup.
You take a few clients a year
Setting each one up by hand takes an hour you do not mind spending. The stack does its job.
Referrals are picking up
Each new client means another shared page, another link, another check that the payment came in before you let them in. You are the glue, and it is starting to show.
You are about to go out on your own
You have no setup yet. You can assemble one, or start with a single door under your own name.
What SoloBase does
Headquarters for a company of one.
Your client sees one name, not three products. A Studio is built around you and each of them.
A front door under your own name
When a referral looks you up, they find your card and the Studio Site behind it: what you do, whether you are taking clients, and one way to start. Your own domain on Pro.
From inquiry to paid
An inquiry from your card lands in your Requests. You accept it and send a proposal in their Client Hub; they sign by typing their name and pay the deposit, and numbered invoices follow.
A Client Hub per client that outlives the project
The brief, your notes, the files and each question, attached to the note it is about, in a private Client Hub only you and your client can open.
Money into your own Stripe, at 0%
Deposits, invoices and paid access go from your client straight to your own Stripe account, and SoloBase never holds the money.
Honestly
When the DIY stack fits you better.
If these sound like you, keep what you have. It is working.
You like assembling your own tools
Some people enjoy choosing each piece and wiring it together. If that is you, and your clients are happy, there is no reason to change.
You need scheduling this week
Calls in SoloBase hold up to 25 people and are not recorded. If you need recordings or larger calls, keep the tool that does them.
The DIY stack, answered.
Can I keep using Notion?
Yes. Use it for your own notes and planning. Your Studio is the part your clients see.
I already take payments with a Stripe payment link. What changes?
The money still lands in your own Stripe account. In your Studio, the payment is tied to the Client Hub it opens, so paying lets the client in.
Is SoloBase cheaper than the stack?
It depends on what you pay for each tool today, so we will not claim it. SoloBase is free until you have earned $1,000 through it.
Does SoloBase take a cut of what my clients pay?
No. 0% on every plan. Money goes straight to your own Stripe account; Stripe’s standard processing fees apply.
What is live today?
Live: the card and Studio Site, the Content Hub, Client Hubs, proposals with e-signature and a deposit, numbered invoices, Community Hubs with channels and support, payments to your own Stripe, calls for up to 25 people, and booking at your open times.
Are you affiliated with Notion, Calendly or Stripe?
No. Product names are trademarks of their owners.
Three links work. One door is easier to send.
Make your card in a minute and see which one you would rather pass on.
