The counter
Your clients pay you. Not us.
Put a price on a Client Hub or a package and your client pays by card, straight into your own Stripe account. Access opens the moment Stripe confirms the payment. SoloBase takes 0%.

What you can sell
The ways a client pays you, and nothing in between.
Paid access to a Client Hub
Set a price on a Client Hub. A client pays, and they are in, with no invitation to send by hand.
Packages
A defined piece of work at a stated price, paid by card.
In your own currency
Prices start in the currency your Stripe account already settles in.
How it connects
Your Stripe, one key, no platform in the middle.
You keep your Stripe account. SoloBase gets a key that can only do what taking payments needs, and sets up the rest itself.
01
Create a restricted key in Stripe
In your Stripe dashboard, a restricted key with the permissions the guide lists. It takes about five minutes, test mode first.
02
Paste it into your Studio
SoloBase checks the key with Stripe, stores it encrypted, and registers the webhook on your account. There is nothing else to configure.
03
Put a price on something
A Client Hub or a package. Your client sees the price, the name of the thing, and one button.
04
They pay, and they are in
Your client pays on Stripe Checkout. When Stripe confirms the payment, their access is granted. Returning to the page is never taken as proof; only Stripe’s confirmation is.
Where the money goes
From your client to your Stripe account.
Every payment is made on your own Stripe account, so the money lands in your Stripe balance and is paid out to your bank on your Stripe schedule. SoloBase is not a party to the payment, never holds the money, and does not use Stripe Connect.
0% to SoloBase, on every plan
Stripe’s standard processing fees apply, as on any Stripe payment
Your business on your client’s statement, not ours
Your SoloBase plan is billed separately, never out of your clients’ payments
The key, plainly
What SoloBase can do with your key, and what it cannot.
It can
Take payments the way your Studio sells: checkouts and invoices today, monthly prices when they arrive, and keep the one webhook that tells your Studio a payment went through. You set it once; the exact list is in the guide.
It cannot
Move your money, send payouts or make transfers. SoloBase never holds your money, and refunds and disputes stay in your Stripe dashboard, where you already handle them.
Your client pays you.You pay a flat plan. That is the whole deal.
Payments, plainly
Can I try it before taking real payments?
Yes. Connect a test key first: a client pays with a Stripe test card and access opens by itself. Switch to your live key when you are ready. The status bar in your Studio says which mode Stripe is in, test or live.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes. The payment happens on your account, which is what keeps SoloBase out of your money. If you already take cards with Stripe, you are ready.
How do I connect it?
With a restricted key, not a one-click connection. The guide at solobase.org/help/connect-stripe walks you through it, test mode first, and what to do if Stripe says no. Stuck? Write to support@solobase.org and Harris will do it with you.
Why not Stripe Connect?
Connect makes the software a platform that sits between you and your client’s payment. With your own key, the account, the customer and the payout are yours, and there is no platform fee to take.
Can I disconnect?
Any time. SoloBase removes the webhook it registered on your account and deletes the key. You can also revoke the key in Stripe yourself.
Who handles refunds?
You do, in your Stripe dashboard, as with any other Stripe payment. You are the merchant; SoloBase is not.
Get paid for your judgment, not asked for it free.
Start with the card. Connect Stripe when the first client is ready to pay.
