For advisors
Your judgment is the work. Give it a door.
Founders and operators ask for your view on the deck, the hire, the term sheet. You say yes to some, and the answers vanish into DMs. Your Studio gives every ask a place to land: a card that says how you advise, and a private Client Hub where the answer stays.

How the asks arrive
In fragments, and for free.
A deck in your inbox
“Would love your eyes on this, no rush.” Thirty minutes of your judgment, with no way to say yes on terms.
A question in a DM
A good question, in a thread that will be buried by Friday. Your answer goes with it.
An advisory seat on a handshake
You meet a founder monthly, and the decisions from each meeting live in your memory and theirs.
No polite way to say “not for free”
Saying no feels rude. Saying yes to everyone means your best hours go to whoever asked last.
How your Studio answers it
Terms first, then the answer, kept.
A card that says how you advise
Your card and the site behind it say what you review, whether you hold standing seats, and whether you are taking anyone this quarter. The asker knows the terms before they ask.
A paid review, before the work
The asker pays for the review up front, into your own Stripe account, and a private Client Hub opens for the two of you.
The answer stays
Your written view sits in their Client Hub, and the follow-up question attaches to the note it is about.
A Client Hub per standing seat
For a founder you advise every month, one Client Hub holds every meeting’s decisions, so month six can read month one.
An illustrative example
Nina turns “a quick look at our deck” into a review.
Nina Brooks ran sales at software companies for twelve years and now advises early-stage founders from Boston. She holds two standing advisory seats and gets several requests a month to take a quick look.
Her site lists a written deck review and her standing seats, each with its terms
A founder who asks is sent the card, pays, and shares the deck in a private Client Hub
Nina writes the review there; the founder’s questions attach to the review they are about
Each of her two standing seats has its own Client Hub, holding every monthly decision
What you keep using
Where you are found, and where you are hired.
| You use | Keep it for | Your Studio adds |
|---|---|---|
| Being found, and the first message | A door that message can go through, on your terms | |
| Your calendar | Booking the call | The question before the call, and a Client Hub where the answer stays after it |

Advisors ask
Will charging put people off?
You decide what is free. You can keep answering short questions for nothing and send anything longer through a paid review. The card makes your terms visible before anyone asks.
Can I take equity instead of cash?
SoloBase does not handle equity or advisory agreements. Keep those with your lawyer, and use the Client Hub for the advising itself.
Does SoloBase list me for founders to find?
No. SoloBase is not a marketplace and has no directory. People reach you because someone gave them your name.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your own Stripe account. SoloBase takes 0%; Stripe’s standard processing fees apply.
The next ask can come with terms.
Make your card in a minute, and let it say how you advise.
