For consultants
Scope the work before you write the proposal.
A referral says “we should talk.” Before you can price anything, you need the problem in their words: who is involved, what done looks like, what they have already tried. Your Studio gives them one place to send it, and gives the engagement a private Client Hub from the first message.

Before the proposal
Where an engagement slips before it starts.
01
The intro call goes in circles.
Forty minutes spent learning what a written brief would have told you in five. The buyer still has not said what done looks like.
02
The brief lives in five places.
An email thread, your call notes, a deck someone forwarded, a question in a text. You piece the scope together before you can price it.
03
The proposal leaves as a PDF.
Then it waits in an inbox. Comments come back in a reply-all, on a version you have already changed.
How your Studio answers it
From referral to scoped work, under your name.
The card says what you take on
Your name, the kind of engagement you do, and whether you are taking projects. A referral knows in a few seconds whether it is worth writing to you.
The brief arrives in a Client Hub
When you accept their inquiry, a private Client Hub opens with their brief as its first note: your questions, their answers, the files. The scope builds in one place, so your price starts from something written down.
Questions on the note
When the buyer reads your scope, their question attaches to the scope it is about. You answer there, not in a reply-all.
Paid to start
When the scope is agreed, the client can pay to open the engagement, straight into your own Stripe account. SoloBase takes 0%.
An illustrative example
Elena scopes an offsite in one Client Hub.
Elena Park is an organizational consultant in Chicago. A former client passes her name to Priya, the COO at Northwind, who needs a leadership offsite that ends in a decision. Priya opens Elena’s card, sees she is taking projects this quarter, and sends the brief. It becomes a Client Hub only the two of them can open.
Elena asks her scoping questions in the Hub; Priya answers under each one
Priya asks whether her CFO should join day one, on the note about who attends
Elena answers with her price in the same Hub, next to the brief it answers
When Priya says yes, the work continues where the scope was written
What you keep using
What stays where it is.
Your Studio is the front door under your name, a Client Hub for each client that outlives the engagement, and money paid into your own Stripe at 0%. The tools you use for other jobs keep them.
| You use | Keep it for | Your Studio adds |
|---|---|---|
| Your calendar | Booking the intro call | A place for the brief before the call, and a Client Hub after it |
| Google Docs or Word | Writing the deliverable | One Client Hub where the deliverable, the brief and the questions sit together |
| The tool you use for contracts | Contracts your lawyer drafted | The card a referral finds, the brief, the scoping, and the Client Hub it all stays in |

Consultants ask
Can I send a proposal from SoloBase?
Yes. You send the scope, the price and the deposit in the client’s Client Hub, next to the brief it answers; they sign by typing their name and pay the deposit to your own Stripe. For a contract your lawyer drafted, keep the tool you use for it.
Who can see the Client Hub?
You and your client: a Client Hub opened when you accept an inquiry holds the two of you. When the client’s project lead or partner belongs in the work, invite them into the same Client Hub. Neither kind ever appears on your site or in search.
How many clients can I run at once?
The free plan includes one private Client Hub. Pro includes unlimited Client Hubs at $29 a month; paid plans open with billing, which is not live yet.
Is the Client Hub ready today?
Yes. Client Hubs are live, and so are your card and the site behind it. So are proposals with e-signature, deposits and invoices, paid to your own Stripe.
The next brief deserves a Client Hub of its own.
Make your card in a minute. Open a Client Hub when the first referral writes.
